On Friday, the grand opening of the open-air exhibition “Plein Air -2018” took place in the Kostanay Art Gallery. The event was attended by students of the architectural department of groups 329 Arch-2, 330 Arch-2 and 313 D-4 together with teachers.

The exhibition featured works of more than 20 artists of the Kostanay region, both recognized masters and young masters.

Plein air painting (from the French word plein air – “outdoors”) is the basis of the professional skill of artists. Work in the open air requires special skills and abilities to convey all shades of the surrounding nature.

Plein Air -2018 was held mainly in Auliekol and Mendykarinsky districts, the beauty of these places could be seen on many canvases.

Students could not only examine the works of masters at close range, but also communicate with famous artists personally, at the opening there were artists Nikolai Torshin, Oleg Kuskov, Yuri Novoselov, Vladimir Barabanov, Vadim Bykov and others.

Students warmly supported their teacher Alexander Zakharchenkov, whose works were also able to see at the exhibition.
