On December 6, 2018, in the Kostanay Construction College, as part of the IRG’s work on the prevention of religious extremism, for the first-year students of the architectural department of groups No. 343 ARH-1, No. 344 D-1, a lecture was held on the topic “Secular Society. The activities of destructive religious organizations and the forms and methods of recruitment used by them ”. The event was prepared and conducted by the head of the department of the KSU “Center for Studies of Religious Problems” of the Administration for Religious Affairs of the Kostanay Oblast Akimat D.A. and the head of the IRG College Musina L.M.

The purpose of the event is to familiarize students with the activities of the college’s information and explanatory group, to justify the need for this activity from the standpoint of the level of the religious state of modern society; expansion of knowledge about the essence and concept of “secular state, secular society”; such phenomena as non-traditional religious organizations that undermine mental and physical health, destroy traditional values, and human security conditions; forms of propaganda and recruitment of new members; use of the Internet for this purpose. In general, the event is aimed at preventing religious extremism. During the event, feedback from the audience and exchange of views was actively used. Dias Armanovich used various forms of enhancing the audience, leading to the correct conclusions from the students themselves. The event was held at a good professional level and had a positive educational effect.
