From November 12 to November 17, a week of the CEC of Computational Information Disciplines was held in Kostanay Construction College, during which special events, lessons and seminars were held by teachers of special disciplines.

So, on November 13, the teachers Salkenova M.K. and Tertyshnik OS held an open extra-curricular event called “Acquaintance with the profession” Programmer “for students of the group 341 VTIPO-1, who just started their educational process in our college.

The main purpose of the event was to familiarize with the specifics of the profession “Programmer”, for this students first were given general definitions on this topic, and then the children, having divided into 2 teams, told their notions about what it should be. In order to understand which of the two teams was closer to the correct answers, students were shown a fragment from the animated series “Kaleidoscope of Professions” – “Programmer”, where they were told in detail about all types of work and areas of programmers.

Also, students managed to ask questions to the invited guest –– engineer for information and technical security systems in the bank – Aisin Galikhan. Galikhan Maratovich told the children what skills a programmer should possess and what needs to be done now, as students, for that.

Next, the guys played a game in which they themselves compiled an algorithm for the actions of the robot in order to achieve the goal set by the scenario. One participant from each team was chosen as robots.

At the end of the event a synquain was drawn up on the topic “Programmer” and everyone could note for himself that this profession was not only in demand, but also very exciting and multilateral.

On the second day of the week, the CEC teacher Feofilaktov DA held an open lesson with students of group 311 WTIPO-4, who had an internship in the discipline “Microprocessor technology” on the theme “Study of logical elements.” The goal of the lesson was the study of a logic circuit that implements logic operations based on integrated circuits. Students consolidated their knowledge of the basis of logic algebra and learned how to select an elementary base for building nodes and devices, as well as to build functional diagrams of nodes and devices of microprocessor systems in a special program Electronics WorkBench.

Also on this day, the teacher Seychanova D.G. held a training seminar for teachers “The use of modern information and communication technologies in the educational process of the college”, during which she shared an innovative approach to conducting lessons. Dinara Gabitovna told her colleagues how using modern technologies you can:

– create electronic tests on various topics, as well as build a didactic game in the form of an exciting quest;

– create a personal site of the teacher, where you can choose the design, menu items; upload your portfolio and organize feedback with students;

The most spectacular part of the seminar was the display of 3D tags, with the help of which there are great opportunities in presenting large-scale projects in three-dimensional form. This will allow students to present their work in 3D-format, as well as to study in depth the mechanism of work and the structure of complex objects not only outside, but also inside it.

Each of the teachers present has discovered something new for himself and, in the future, whenever possible will apply the acquired knowledge in conducting interactive lessons.

On November 15, a seminar “Your Opportunities, Student!” Was held, in which students of 1-2 courses took part. During the seminar, participants were told about various kinds of contests and competitions in which students of the Kostanay Construction College take an active part every year.

In order for them to be able to try in practice to create their own project, they were asked to invent their own business, to argue the estimated costs, profits, and all related moments for the realization of their idea. An important part of the seminar was to correctly explain their ideas and defend their positions before potential investors.

Students offered various projects, most of which are related to IT technologies. Each idea was carefully dismantled by the participants of the seminar and young businessmen could find out in which plan they still need to refine their project for successful implementation to the masses.

The CCP finished the week with an open lesson for the SEZS-1 group on the subject “Informatics” on the topic: “Building Diagrams in MS Excel”, which was conducted by M. Mamedova. During the lesson, many options for constructing diagrams were considered, students guessed rebuses with a professional focus, and the relevance of this lesson was noted, as the diagrams will be needed not only when solving the tasks of the educational process, but also in everyday life, where charts and statistics are often found and other kind of data presentation.

On the whole, the CEC week of information and computing disciplines was productive. Students and teachers were able to use non-standard methods to get results, everyone has his own: someone has learned something new, someone will take the knowledge gained to use and will create their own projects based on innovative technologies. Each event held this week showed the importance of information technology not only in the educational process, but also in all spheres of human activity. And since these technologies are developing very quickly, then we need to keep up with the times.
