An hour of poetry dedicated to the Kazakh poet, linguist, public and political figure Olzhas Suleimenov, who celebrates his 85th anniversary this year, was held in the Yuzhny branch library. He is a world-class personality, a great poet who has become the pride of the nation. During the event, the presenters told the students that Olzhas Suleimenov burst into a poetic orbit as swiftly as the first man into space. Then the little-known reporter of the Kazakhstanskaya Pravda newspaper won wide readership by writing the poem “Earth, bow to the Man!” about the flight of the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. The guest of the event – the actor of the Kostanay Kazakh Drama Theater named after I. Omarov Kabdul-Mazhit Sundetovich Imanov – read the poem “Kazakhstan”. Guys 363 MKA-1 listened with interest to other poems performed by him: “Wolf cubs” and “Earth, bow to the Man!” At the end of the event, the presenters reviewed the book exhibition “Alem tanykan Olzhas. Olzhas recognized by the world ”. The event was held in the spirit of fostering respect for national culture and traditions, increasing interest in the personality of Olzhas Suleimenov.
