Employees of the department of literature on art of the Kostanay OUNB named after LN Tolstoy and students of the Kostanay construction college of the direction “Design” and “Architecture” held a master class on felt from the famous applied artist, member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan Svetlana Ivanovna Shalunova. The event was organized for the pupils of the KSU “Support Center for Children in Difficult Life Situations of the City of Kostanay”. Svetlana Ivanovna introduced the children to the history of the ancient type of applied art, aroused interest in it, introduced the participants to the basics of dry felting, and also shared the secrets of creating unusual decorative items. The participants of the master class learned a lot, were happy with the results of their work performed under the guidance of the master.
In the lobby of the L. Tolstoy Regional Universal Scientific Library, college students visited the exhibition of the Kostanay artist, sculptor Bayan Batalova “Creation of the Soul and Hands”.
