NJSC “TALAP” together with the “TEMASEK” Foundation Singapore from December 7 to December 29, 2020 conducted online courses for educational institutions of TVE RK. Online learning took place on the ZOOM platform on the topic “Innovation in Teaching and Learning STEM” (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), funded by the TEMASEK Foundation.
One of the course participants was Natalya Romanovna Fedotova, head of the ORSTP department, of the Kostanay Construction College. The courses allowed all participants to get acquainted with the education system of Singapore, learn about the innovative activities of Nanyang Polytechnic International University, and about the university’s commercial STEM projects. We studied modern teaching methods used in the education system of Singapore: “Flip Learning for STEM”, “Design Thinking”, “Maker Space”, etc. The course participants also took a virtual tour of the Nanyang Polytechnic Institute (NYP) and a virtual tour of the NYP School of Engineering. At the end of the project, each of the participants presented an individual plan for the implementation of STEM education in their colleges.
