On December 4, a solemn ceremony of summing up the results and awarding of the “Student of the Year” competition took place. The organizers of the competition were the Education Department of the Akimat of the Kostanay region and the NGO “Society and Ya” This competition was organized with the aim of creating conditions for self-realization, improving the social and personal competencies of student youth of colleges in Kostanay region. 11 best college students took part in the competition, presenting their portfolio to the jury.
Among the winners of the competition in the nomination “Sportsman of the Year” is 343 ARCH-3 student Valeriya Batchenko and in the nomination “Working Pride” – student 4 of GKSP-4 Omar Murat.
Valeria is actively involved in sports activities, is a participant in the VII International Children’s Winter Games in Austria, the first winter international games “Children of Asia”, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, multiple Champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cross-country skiing.
Murat is a repeated participant and winner of the WorldSkills Kazakhstan Republican Championship.
