In the Kostanay Construction College, in order to familiarize students with creative and research activities in the field of design, development of spatial thinking, creative skills, interest in 3D modeling and computer technologies, a competition for buildings in “Minecraft” is held annually.In our college, training is carried out in various specialties, both in the construction profile and in other areas, but with a slope in the construction industry: students study the visual design of construction objects, develop applications for information modeling programs for construction industry objects and complex solutions for automating the management of residential and other construction objects. Therefore, students of all specialties show interest in such an event as a competition for buildings “Minecraft” and creatively approach the implementation of tasks.This year, a competition for buildings from “Minecraft” was held for college students, in which it was possible to participate in the following nominations: “Kazakh Drama Theater”, “City Center”, “Main Square”, “Kostanay Construction College”. Several works were submitted for the competition in the form of a video review of objects and presentations of their works. The students took many details of the original objects very seriously, they managed to recreate real architectural masterpieces and also show their developments in the form of new decorations or additional elements. The winners of the competition were determined by voting.The winner was Ibrashev Anuar from the group 357 VTiPO-1, who chose the “Main Square” as the theme and in his video review, in addition to the square in front of the regional akimat, showed another part of the Central Park, a local history museum, a number of commercial facilities and the building of the Regional Philharmonic. The second place was taken by Ruslan Sadykov, a student of group 341 of VTiPO-3 with a presentation on the topic “Kostanay Construction College”, which presents a canteen, offices and corridors and other premises of the educational institution. The honorable third place was taken by Malmakov Temirlan, group 358 MEOSG-1 with a work called “City Center”, where the business center is located.
