In order to implement the State education program for 2020-2025 in the 2019 – 2020 academic year, the final certification in the form of a demonstration exam in the specialty: 1401000 Construction and operation of buildings and structures was held from June 23 to 26.
Demonstration exams were held for the following qualifications: 140120 2-Specialist in the dry method of construction in the competence “Dry construction and plastering” and 140101 2-Bricklayer in the competence “Bricklaying”.
In order to determine the level of knowledge, skills and practical skills in the conditions of modeling real production processes in accordance with the WorldSkills Kazakhstan standards for each competence, expert organizers Soshkin A.V. and Penkin E. S., developed packages of documents containing a technical description of the competence, an infrastructure sheet, evaluation criteria, and exam tasks.
24 students in Dry construction and plastering and 24 students in Bricklaying took part in the WorldSkills demonstration exam.

According to the competence “Bricklaying”, students, according to the task determined by the draw, performed various types of masonry: single-row, multi-row system of ligation of seams, screw, well, etc. They also made structures: pillars, pointed arch, pilaster on a multi-row system of binding seams, a column, a fragment of a fence with two columns.
On the basis of WorldSkills standards and Knauf complete systems, practical tasks were developed for the competence “Dry construction and plastering”. During 7 hours of practical time, future specialists in the dry method of construction performed the device of partition systems with simple or curved openings; the device of ceilings; performed plaster work – sealing joints, installing protective corners and solid putty.

As an evaluation procedure, an important factor was the use of evaluation criteria according to WorldSkills standards used at the WorldSkills Kazakhstan Championships. In accordance with the requirements of employers, professional standards and evaluation materials, important aspects of the assessment were used, such as the ability to read drawings, compliance with safety regulations and proper labor organization, performing complex technological operations and monitoring the measured elements.
According to the results of the demonstration exam, the average quality of completed tasks was 74%.
The quality of the work performed by the graduates received a fairly high assessment of specialists from the production, noted compliance with safety and labor protection rules, organization and concentration of students when performing tasks. At the end of the exam, the experts recommended to consider the possibility of including the theoretical part in the demonstration exam procedure.
Demonstration exams were conducted in compliance with all sanitary measures and requirements stipulated in the conditions of the pandemic. Jobs were distributed with a distance of at least 1.5 meters, Students, experts, and all participants of the demonstration exam observed the mask mode.
