This is not the first year that the Kostanay Construction College has hosted the City of the Future event, where we discuss the achievement of architecture, analyze the appearance of our cities, and discuss what future architects should be like.

This school year, the guys stormed the new architectural competition “School of the Future”, which encourages students of the architectural department to think about what the future educational institution, which in the life of every person was his second home for a certain period.

The objective of this kind of competition is – the formation of a databank of conceptual architectural projects that take into account current trends in architecture and construction, development prospects and public opinion.

This event is aimed at attracting students to activities that go beyond the educational process – the development of outline designs for schools, educational institutions with a view to the future, with subsequent use in construction.

Just yesterday, a commission composed of deputy chief architect of the city Kostanay R. Kenekbayeva, architect, director of ArkhMM LLP Mukhin PV, architect of BK-STROY LLP Kurnyavka ND, Novitskaya O. design director Novitskaya O. company, A. Igoshina, company designer and director of the college A.Zh. Shamshin summed up the five-month hard work.

Applications for participation were submitted by 14 3-4-year students of the college’s architectural department. The guys put a lot of work, creativity, love into their projects. Fourth-year students Manatov Aldiyar, Ekaterina Verlova, Maxim Ilinykh, Veronika Galuza, Valery Kuzmin worked out their projects to the smallest detail, calculating the economic profitability, paying attention to the appearance, modern and environmentally friendly materials used in construction. Shoveled all SNIPs and GOSTs, as well as additional literature on the design and construction of educational institutions, which was repeatedly noted by members of the commission when summing up.

All works were well presented by the participants of the competition, accompanied by videos, which gives high marks to the work of students in computer programs. According to the provisions of the competition, the contestants had to draw up their outline design in the form of an album containing the main drawings and a description of the object.

Third-year students Sagitukaz Tamerlan and Pesotskaya Victoria, out of competition, put to the commission’s trial their work with a model for the project of thematic stops for our city.

It was difficult for the competition committee to choose the best job. Each of them had its own truth on the originality and expediency of the design solution, on the use of new technologies, on the realism that the modern world needs. But, nevertheless, it was necessary to choose the best projects, the children had to be divided into two positions, these are among graduate students and those who only learn the basics of architectural design.

There were several first places, this “Music College for the City of Kostanay” completed the Ilyin M project, as the commission noted, the project can be recommended with partial revision. The project “Theater School”, which Galusa V., Kuzmin V. and the school designed by A. Akhkobekova would like to see in their city, took first place, and the innovative school zoned and safe for modern students took a worthy second place, completed this project Manatov A. and Verlova E.

Projects by Nasybulina Diana, Mariya Sec, Alenova Aldiyar, Urazov Daniyar, Scherbakov Dinily, Shchegay Evgeniya submitted to the competition provide for age zoning or the so-called “school of steps”: separate education is offered for children of different ages: different rooms or even buildings that are still combined common areas of the lobby, assembly hall, dining room, library, etc. Since, according to the authors, “contact between children of different ages is necessary to develop sociability.”

New student projects carried new architectural forms, designs and details, as well as landscaping that met the requirements of the institution.
