On September 25, within the framework of IRG’s work on prevention of religious extremism, a meeting with a member of the regional advocacy group, a teacher of Kostanay Academy of the Ministry of internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held for students of 1 and 2 courses of the Department of construction and technical specialties. Sh educational psychologist of Tuganov M. S. the Topic of the meeting “Internet as a means of information and communication. Destructive sites. Prevention of involvement of adolescents in destructive religious organizations”.

The purpose of the event is to expand knowledge about the role of the Internet as a means of obtaining information and communication, about the essence of such phenomena as destructive ideologies, religious organizations that undermine mental and physical health, destroy traditional values, human security conditions; methods of their recruitment, levels of religious faith, forms of propaganda and attracting new members to their ranks; as well as prevention of religious extremism destructive and totalitarian orientation. During the event, the lecturer introduced students to the main areas of work of the advocacy group for the prevention of religious extremism, was given a brief description of the current situation associated with the spread of religious extremism. Tuganov M. S. details and told the subject about the nature of phenomena such as destructive ideologies, levels of religious belief, psychological aspects and methods of activity of destructive religious organizations, the techniques used to recruit new adherents of the faith in its ranks. Many interesting and instructive cases from practice, including our city were sounded, feedback with audience, an exchange of opinions was actively used.  The event was held at a good professional level.
